It was a Saturday fresh summer morning. We waked up near 6 o’clock and packed our art works in a big bag, and went to the center of old town Solothurn. Every weekend here comes a lot of farmers with own products and selling it like in old time. It was a sale time for our work too, which we drew whole week. How we did it read out in this post.
We came early, when the market square was empty, just silent streets, fresh air, and a few farmers preparing they places for future working day. However, closer to the middle of the day market square, were overcrowded with a people, so i decide to escaped and sit in one of the cafe.
In compare with farmers, we were out of competition because we are selling art products, and it was more complicated. We divided on few groups and periodically change each other’s. I have already sales experience, because when i was a little kid we lived in Transnistria, and exporting fruits on our orange VW Golf to the Ukraine.
I do not know how much we earned, but we spend great time in this day. We represent our pictures with a different motto like. Two weeks 20 people from all over the world drawing special for you, or asking people hey dear miss or sir do you have a free place on your walls at home for our pictures? Our tent with canvases was near the old clocks, which were building in Roman Emperor time. It is amazing that this old walls and stones street would remember about us too.
Before the Saturday market, we were distributing leaflets with a information about future exhibition and sale time on Saturday. Unfortunately, we distribute not so much leaflets and there were not so much effects from it.
On the next day, we have an exhibition in Altes Spital where we presenting our big canvases and how it was you could read in this reports: Vernisage in Altes Spital
