Theme:
The Intercultural Creativity Workshop Solothurn - is the name of a small union of local artists, working in the region of Solothurn. With the help of young artists from different countries texts written in different languages and painted on canvas will be one part of the project.
Work:
Volunteers will paint their texts using various techniques on canvas. In the workshops they will learn about additional techniques of painting, making prints, and generating interesting ideas together.
On the second week there will also be some workshops offered for kids with a holiday pass. This will be an interesting interaction between different nationalities and generations through creative activities.
Also volunteers will participate in traditional Saturday market on the main square in old town of Solothurn, where they can sale some of they little canvases. And in the ending of the workcamp the volunteers will organize an exhibition for the public. The paintings will be sold and the money will be used to initiate further projects aiming to enhance intercultural dialogue.
Accommodation:
The volunteers will live in a big scout house next to the place where they work. The house will stand in the town of Solothurn with beautiful surrounding area.

Special requirements:
You will spend most of your time with the people in charge at the Intercultural creativity workshop. Volunteers applying for this project need to be interested in the work with children and youngsters. It will be possible to organize a workshop for the kids. Experience in creating arts is an advantage and it would be helpful if you are a student in art and active artist. All volunteers are required to send a motivation letter showing their interest, experience and knowledge in the field of art.
